Video On Demand

Using studio:1 a service administrator can easily publish a Video On Demand (VOD) service that is made available to the end user via the mobile network. Ingestion and adaptation of the video is done via a web interface (individual clips) or automated via API's (batch video).

Key features

Content can be either streamed, allowing real-time viewing, or downloaded in its entirety to the handset before viewing starts. Podcasts are also available.
Our VOD service uses the existing video player in your handset, and therefore there is no need for additional software. You can deploy high-quality services to your existing user-base from day one.
We can enable video on your existing mobile site service, or create a completely new site which will compliment your existing services with video and audio.
This solution is preferred by customers such as MTV, Fox, Elisa Estonia and VG.

Customer Case: Elisa Estonia

Elisa, a leading operator in Estonia, asked Rubberduck to publish and manage a VOD-based mobile TV service for their users. We delivered Elisa Mobiil TV, a mobile portal offering a wide range of video clips and loop channels in both Russian and Estonian. Rubberduck also sources and manages the content offering.
